Clients with similar needs and budgetary constraints can take
advantage of Foley Consultancy's Packaged Services,
which offer fixed-price/fixed-deliverables/limited-scope engagements
in a number of functional areas. Packaged Services are a great
way gain a quick and actionable understanding of how a particular business
process or function can be enhanced or automated. Foley Consultancy currently offers
Packaged Services in the following areas:
While most organizations have HACCP plans in place to address food/product/environmental safety liability concerns, many such plans are outdated both from a regulatory and a technology perspective. HACCP & Food Safety PRP Assessments are designed to identify and document such gaps, while also identifying specific areas where technology (RFID, AutoID, Sensory or IT Infrastructure) can automate HACCP plans and other food safety-related SOPs (Standard Operation Procedures) and SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) as well as their associated record-keeping requirements. HACCP & FS PRP engagements are typically limited to a single product line or existing HACCP plan.
Deliverables include:
HACCP Plan Assessment Report providing a point-by-point gap analysis of a current or proposed HACCP plan with specific technology recommendations for each step, including cost/benefit projections. This report also proposes new or replacement HACCP plan elements where (a) a manual process step can be automated and (b) where new regulatory requirements (such as those in the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act) can/should be addressed.
PRP Programs Assessment Report comparing existing SOPs and SSOPs with those outlined in the Codex Alimentarius General Principals of Food Hygiene as well as with GAPs (Good Agricultural Practices) and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) advocated by the FDA, USDA and EFSA.
Foley Consultancy is IHA (International HACCP Aliance) Fresh-cut Produce certified to develop and/or revise HACCP plans and prerequisite programs which not only meet the standards referenced above, but are also practical and cost-effective to implement. HACCP & PRP development engagements are priced on a time and materials basis and can cover as many product lines and/or facilities as needed.
A Traceability Assessment (TA) will enable you to understand where vulnerabilities exist in your supply chain network, the remedial options available and their respective costs. Designed to identify and document holes in a client's internal operations and those of its supply chain partners, the scope of a TA engagement is typically limited to a single product line and a supply chain network of no more than four partners (including transportation/logistics). Cooperation of all supply chain partners is also required to ensure a comprehensive assessment.
Deliverables include:
Traceability Map, which graphically depicts the entire chain and identifies the key data capture points and gaps.
Traceability Assessment Report documenting the current state, recommended state and projected hard and soft costs of implementing recommendations for each identified gap. Additionally this report provides an overall information technology infrastructure assessment, which further identifies specific capability gaps that could impact the organization's ability to implement the specific recommendations contained in the report.
Traceability Action Plan that lays out the recommendations in sequential, prioritized order based on the client's exposure risk, operational constraints and budgetary considerations.
Many mature client organizations have lived through the growing pains involved with the adoption of barcode infrastructure. The RFID-Readiness Audit is designed to minimize such pains by providing clients with a snapshot of their current operational and technology environments with an eye toward identifying and documenting problem areas that need to be taken into consideration before initiation of RFID projects and initiatives. These Audits provide management with a high-level view of the constraints and potential benefits of implementing RFID infrastructure. The scope of each Audit is typically limited to a single facility.
Deliverables include:
Site Survey Report, which identifies specific Radio Frequency (RF) issues associated with a facility's ambient environment, including structural, materials-related, electrical and neighboring RF interference that could potentially diminish or block the effectiveness of the various RFID frequencies commonly in use. A spectrum analyzer is used to measure the RF environment documented in this report.
RFID Cost/Benefit Analysis Report supplying a C-level assessment of the business-level benefits and constrains of implementing RFID in the target facility. A process-by-process listing of each projected RFID function will compare and contrast the operational benefits with those of the current process, whether it is barcode-based or manual.
